Kumbakonam, Oct 28 (PTI): A web page in connection with the famous Mahamaham festival to be held next year was launched by Thanjavur Collector Dr N Subbaiyan today.
The ‘Mahamaham 2016′ web page, connected with official websites of Thanjavur district
www.thanjavur.tn, www.thanjavur.gov, www.thanjavur.in, were launched by him at a function at Kumbakonam municipality.
The Collector told reporters that this new page would be part of the official site and would give details about number of people attending the festival, transport facilities and record the opinions of the people for the function.
This would help the district administration and other government departments make all facilities in advance for people to have bath in the tank without difficulty and to have darshan of Deities.
Municipal Chairman Ratna Sekar presided.
