Thanjavur
is the original home of Dravidian art and architecture besides being
the center of Tamil classical dance which is now known as Bharatha
Natyam all over world. It is specially distinguished as a place for
the art lovers. Thanjavur painting was famous all over the world. It
is an important center of South Indian religion, art and
architecture. Most of the temples in Thanjavur are recognized by
UNESCO as World Heritage Monuments.
